Leadership & Talent

An organization's ability to learn, and translate that learning into action rapidly, is the ultimate competitive advantage.

Helping leaders learn to lead

Not many people are born leaders or even born managers. Leading people is hard, making the shift from manager to leader is harder still. Managing teams effectively can be a genuine challenge.

We often promote people because they are fantastic at the technical, forgetting that you need a whole new set of skills to effectively run a team, business unit or the business. Identifying and developing talent will ensure the right people are developed and promoted for the right reasons and at the right time.

With practical programmes of work, you can grow your managers into leaders, support your leaders to be better leaders, help your leaders’ network more effectively across the business and support people to personally develop their strengths and vulnerabilities. Personal development is critical for everyone in an organisation to grow both technical and ‘soft’ skills.

I have worked for over 20 years designing, delivering and facilitating training programs for all levels in organisations. I have worked across the world in national and global roles for public and private sector organisations advising on programs of work and how to roll them out. I have a genuine depth of experience and I love seeing people develop to their full potential.

I can support you to:

  • Evaluate where you might have gaps in your current organisational development program of work
  • Develop a curriculum of development programs for all levels in your organisation
  • Design robust and practical development programmes for leaders – I particularly enjoy designing programs for senior leaders and those transitioning into leadership roles
  • Support Leaders and Managers through improving teams performance
  • Develop a process to ensure all talent have personal development plans and access to the right supports
  • Develop programs to move women into senior leadership roles
  • Design and lead women in leadership conferences
  • Design Diversity and Inclusion programmes for all levels in an organisation
  • Design Ethics programs for all levels in an organisation
  • Embed Diversity and Inclusion and Ethics into general development programs
  • Establish a faculty of external facilitators and coaches to design and deliver your learning programs and team interventions

Do you have good people? I can help them become good leaders.

Do you have your eye on a staff member who has outstanding skills and attitude, is an asset to the organisation, would make good management material? Well just hang on a moment: just because he or she is great at their job, doesn'n necessarily mean they can impart those skills, knowledge and attitude to others. For most people, leading doesn't come naturally; to fully exploit their management potential, your future leaders (and present leaders) need to learn how to lead.

I can help with programs that do exactly that.
